What is the Difference between Brow Tint and Henna Tint?

iLashHer offers both Brow Tint and Henna Brows. These two services have the same goal of achieving the look of fuller brows. But there are some key differences in deciding which services may be best for you.

  • The Difference in Brow Tint and Henna Brows: Brow henna is a semi-permanent solution that lasts up to two weeks on the skin and up to four weeks on the hair. It adheres to both, and has a longer processing time. In brow henna, henna is used as a brow tint that dyes the skin in addition to the actual hair follicles. The henna is painted onto the eyebrows and skin beneath, which dyes the skin darker creating the illusion of thicker, fuller brows. And brow tint is a semi-permanent solution that lasts up to two weeks on the brow hairs, and lightly stains the skin for one or two days. Regular eyebrow tint will only tint the hairs and lasts anywhere from 2-4 weeks. It is great for those that are happy with their eyebrow hair fullness but want to make the brow hairs more pronounced.

Maintenance for Brow Tint & Henna Brows

  • Maintenance to care for your Henna Brows: Keep them dry for at least 12 hours! This includes shower stream, washing your face, and sweating from working out. Exfoliating your face will cause the henna stain to fade quicker.

  • Maintenance to care for your Brow Tint: Although it's not a problem to get your eyebrows wet after a tinting treatment, you can try to avoid washing for at least 12 hours. You should also avoid excessive touching or rubbing for 24 hours to avoid irritation. Chlorine can also shorten the wear of your tint, so be wary if you're a regular swimmer.

Which is Best for You?

Well of course the best part of iLashHer is you get to decide we only advise. If you have more brow hair fullness but want your brows to have a fuller look then brow tint may be great for you. But also if you have fuller brow hair but want the tint to last longer you can pick henna as well. Brow Henna is perfect for people who have naturally sparse or over plucked brows, or for covering grey and white brow hairs! Also great for filling in areas with light scarring where there may be missing hair. Which ever you decide to go with we are here to help.
